Breaking the Spell (Sihr)
Magic is a trial from Allah that requires profound patience and constant recitation of the Qur'an.
Sihr (Magic) is the practice of using dark spiritual forces to harm others. While it is a grave sin and a form of Kufr (disbelief) for the practitioner, for the victim, it is a test of faith and an opportunity for elevation through patience and Ruqyah.
Identifying the Affliction
Magic can manifest in many forms: blocking marriage, causing illness with no medical cause, or creating sudden hatred between spouses. It often requires a longer, more intensive period of Ruqyah than the Evil Eye.
Common Symptoms
- Constant Headaches: Migraines that don’t respond to medication.
- Physical Blockages: Feeling like you are being physically restrained or pushed.
- Extreme Aversion: Sudden, intense dislike for your spouse, family, or the Qur’an.
- Strange Dreams: Dogs, snakes, or being chased in your sleep.
- Recite the 'Sihr Verses' (Al-A'raf 117-122, Yunus 81-82, Taha 69).
- Use 7 green Sidr (Lote) leaves, grind them, and mix with Ruqyah water to drink and bathe.
- Maintain your 5 daily prayers and stay in Wudu at all times.
- Perform Hijama (Cupping) as it helps remove the physical effects of magic.
- Going to 'healers' who ask for your mother's name or your birth date.
- Using amulets, strings, or 'blessed' items given by suspicious people.
- Giving up hope - magic is only effective by Allah's permission.
- Neglecting your prayers - this is literally turning off your shield.
The Intensive Protocol
Breaking a long-term spell requires discipline. Every morning after Fajr and every evening after Maghrib, recite the 3 Quls 7 times each, blowing into your hands and wiping your body. If possible, recite or listen to Surah Al-Baqarah daily in the house.
Key Recitation: The Words of Truth
When the magicians threw their staffs, Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) said these words, and the magic of the sorcerers was destroyed.
قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ السِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Qāla mūsā mā ji'tum bihis-siḥru, innal-lāha sayubṭiluh...
Каля Муса ма джи-тум бихи-с-сихр, инна-л-ляха са-юбтилух...
Moses said: 'What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters.'
Муса каза: „Онова, което донесохте, е магия. Аллах ще я развали. Аллах не поправя деянията на сеещите развала.“
